A public subnet is a section of your virtual network (VPC) that allows instances launched within it to directly communicate with the internet. Unlike private subnets, instances in a public subnet have public IP addresses, making them accessible from the outside world. This is ideal for web servers, load balancers, and other resources that need to be reachable by the internet.
